Prior Lake police calls: July 25

The Prior Lake Police Department responded to and provided summaries for the following incidents July 25-Aug. 1. The Prior Lake American doesn’t include a comprehensive list of calls to which the department responded. Incidents are included here based on severity, impact on public safety or other factors. Those accused of crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

DRUGS

July 26: A 32-year-old Circle Pines man was arrested for 15 active Scott County misdemeanor warrants, felony fifth-degree drug possession, and misdemeanor trespass at 4:07 a.m. at the 2000 block of Mystic Lake Blvd.

July 27: A 30-year-old Saint Paul man was arrested for an active warrant out of Anoka County for gross misdemeanor theft at 1:57 a.m. at Mystic Lake Casino.

July 31: A 46-year-old Farmington man was arrested for a gross misdemeanor Goodhue County warrant for failure to appear at 12:55 a.m. at Mystic Lake Casino.

THEFT

July 26: Police received a reported theft of cash valued at $500 at 12:11 p.m. at Mystic Lake Casino.

July 27: Police received a report of mail theft of a step stool at 11:44 a.m. at the 3000 block of Jeffers Parkway. Loss valued at $55.

ESCAPE FROM CUSTODY

July 28: A 35-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, third-degree DWI refusal, fourth-degree DWI, failure to drive in a single lane, failure to obey traffic signal at 12:44 a.m. at the intersection of 160th Street and St. Francis.

ARSON

July 28: Police received a report of intentional fire set near a port-a-potty at 7:14 p.m. at Memorial Park.

DWI

July 31: A 67-year-old Farmington woman was cited for gross misdemeanor DWI .08 or more, gross misdemeanor DWI, and petty misdemeanor speed-exceed limit at 1 p.m. at Fishpoint Road and CR 21.

FRAUD

July 31: Police received a report of a bank scam over the phone. Reported loss, $1,000 at 3:17 p.m. at the 4000 block of Heritage Lane.

ASSAULT

Aug. 1: A 39-year-old man was arrested for aggravated assault by strangulation, gross misdemeanor domestic assault-fear, gross misdemeanor domestic assault inflicting harm at 1:50 a.m. at Mystic Lake Hotel.
